The City states that driveway additions or replacements in the right-of-way require permits. Review may determine whether a swale, ramp or culvert driveway configuration is appropriate for the site.
Extra fill, decorative surfacing, parking, landscape edging and incorrectly placed sod can reduce swale depth or interrupt flow. Ask for existing and proposed elevations when a project touches the roadside section.
